Start the marketplace

Run the public catalog and inspect the contract for your first tool. You need this repository, Go 1.26 or newer and Make. Service discovery works without a Docker daemon, an account or an access token.

Count words in the shared pilot

Open the shared pilot URL supplied by the operator. On the pilot Mac, open http://localhost:8797/, choose Use Text stats, and sign in with your passkey and Google Authenticator. Enter Quarterly revenue increased. and run the count. The result is 3.

Each call runs the bundled word_count MCP in a fresh local process. Words are separated by Unicode whitespace. The input limit is 65,536 UTF-8 bytes, and the response contains only the count. The Hub keeps no text history. The endpoint allows up to 12 requests per account per minute, 60 across the pilot, and two concurrent calls. S3 credentials are unnecessary for this tool.

Run the catalog

From the repository root, start the server. The initial build may download its pinned Go dependencies.

make portal

Open http://127.0.0.1:8791/ in your browser. The same process serves the handbook and the OpenAPI document. For an automatically assigned port, run make build followed by bin/daedro-mcp-hub serve --port 0 and use the printed URL. Handbook

Find Text stats

  1. Select Explore Text stats, or search for word_count and open Profile details.
  2. Read the sample request. The tool accepts a text string and returns a word count. Its service ID is text-stats.
  3. Use the shared pilot above for browser-based counting. Operators using the standalone managed workspace can deploy the built-in profile with their caller token. Deploy your first instance

If the operator already runs a managed workspace on local port 8792, start the public catalog with a link to it. Use a free port for the catalog, or stop the earlier catalog process with Ctrl+C first.

make build
bin/daedro-mcp-hub serve --port 8791 --workspace-port 8792

Use Text stats opens the separate HTTPS workspace with the profile selected. Trust the workspace's operator-issued CA and enter your own token there. The operator starts that managed process separately. Managed HTTPS setup

For an agent or program, the same catalog is available through a JSON API and MCP tools. Connect a client
