# Transcribe audio and video

Choose **Audio transcription** or **Video transcription** in the marketplace or account tools. Sign in, select the profile that owns your file, then choose
**Transcribe audio** or **Transcribe video**. The browser shows media services
only when the cloud gateway verifies their signed ownership protocol and local
processing policy. This pilot uses English Faster Whisper on the operator's
private CPU workers connected to the Google VM through authenticated SSH/IAP.
The hub, admission checks and job ownership ledger run on the VM. Keep the
worker Mac online for transcription. Paid external providers are disabled.

## Get a result

Choose a supported file up to **8 MiB and 30 seconds**. The server checks size,
format and duration before submission. After upload, start the job and follow its
status. Open the completed job to see its recognized text and timestamps.
**Recent jobs** reopens jobs for your current account and profile. Retrying the
same submission uses its idempotency key. A processor outage can delay processing
or result retrieval. Check the original job before submitting another file.

Audio and video use distinct signed upstream identities derived from your
account, profile and connection. Video keeps the originating owner when it
requests audio recognition. Raw account IDs and provider credentials stay out
of filenames, job IDs, URLs and operational logs. Each profile may submit three
jobs per day, with one active at a time. Global pilot limits are twelve jobs per
day and one active job globally. Upload limits are eight per profile and 32 globally each
day. Operators must define retention, deletion, high availability and recovery
before admitting public customer files.

## Verification

The server acceptance client used two independent passkeys and TOTP enrollments.
It uploaded a generated 4.18-second spoken WAV and an MP4 containing that audio
through the Hub's actual customer API. Both jobs produced timed text containing
the expected speech marker. Submitting the same request again returned the
existing job ID. Requests for the other account's upload, status and completed
result, including requests from another profile, received the same 404 response
as an unknown ID. Separate processor tests cover replayed assertions, rotation
and the video-to-voice delegation boundary.
